Welcome to Full Passport Family!

Hi, I’m Jenny! I’m a social worker, former refugee foster mom, avid traveler (40 countries and counting!), and mom to two curious and energetic little ones. I’m passionate about helping families raise resilient, empathetic kids who embrace the world with open hearts and minds. With more than a decade of experience supporting children’s social-emotional well-being in schools and nonprofits, I’ve learned so much about nurturing connection, curiosity, and adaptability—especially when it comes to family travel and international living.

This space is for you, whether you’re dreaming of your first overseas adventure, navigating life in a new country, or simply looking for ways to make travel more meaningful for your kids. I’m passionate about helping families travel while prioritizing their kids’ emotional wellbeing. I share practical tips to navigate big changes, build resilience, and nurture empathy in young travelers. Whether it’s managing transitions or finding joy in new experiences, I’m here to support your journey. My goal is to make family travel feel doable, rewarding, and full of opportunities to connect—with each other and the world around us.

Why the name Full Passport Family? Back in my mid-20s, I found myself stuck in Uganda with a passport that was completely full of stamps and visas. After a slightly frantic visit to the embassy, I managed to get it sorted out, but the thrill of that adventure, and many others across the globe, sparked a lifelong love of travel.

Now, with two young kids in tow, our passports (and lives) are filling up again as we navigate moving overseas to Central Africa; we’ll be exploring new places, learning about people and cultures, and embracing the wild world of the foreign service. This blog captures our family’s journey—the rollercoaster of parenting abroad, the unpredictable adventures, and the moments of joy, challenge, and discovery that define our “full passport” life. Join us as we embrace every stamp, story, and adventure along the way!
